Mount Pleasant Park and Community Center Lothrop Associates designed the 65,000 square foot, twelve acre, mixed use complex consisting of four swimming pools, a branch library, and a teen center as well as space for senior citizen programs, arts and crafts, meeting rooms and a multi-use space. Site work included parking for 300 vehicles. The project received a design award from the American Institute of Architects Westchester Mid Hudson Chapter.

Mount Pleasant Park and Community Center Lothrop Associates designed the 65,000 square foot, twelve acre, mixed use complex consisting of 4 swimming pools, a branch library, and a teen center as well as space for senior citizen programs, arts and crafts, meeting rooms and a multi-use space. The Cliffs at Valhalla Lothrop Associates designed the rock climbing gym in a high-bay warehouse space. The project included 30' climbing walls, bouldering area, training walls, cardio and weight training equipment, locker rooms, retail space, multipurpose room and staff offices.

Lake Isle Lothrop Associates planned and designed upgrades for Lake Isle, a municipal owned golf course and recreation complex in the Town of Eastchester. The project included a new 30' x 75', accessible adult swimming pool, bathhouse, snack bar, golf cart barn and pro shop. Landscaping was added throughout the parking and public areas and a 5,500 square foot maintenance barn was constructed elsewhere on the site.

Ossining Community Center Joseph G. Caputo Community Center The Ossining Community Center replaced and upgraded their pool and bathhouse with a new year round facility. Lothrop Associates designed the 22,000 square foot pool building for competitive swimming and other community events. The building is supported on concrete filled caissons to prevent undermining from a steep slope. A pre-engineered building system was used to accelerate construction. The project received a citation from the AIA Westchester Mid-Hudson Chapter.

Deloitte and Touche Fitness Center Lothrop Associates designed the 6,000 square foot health and fitness center after it was destroyed on September 11, 2001. The fitness facility has a welcoming and comforting atmosphere with an energetic and visually stimulating environment. The project received a citation from the American Society of Interior Designers, New York Metro Chapter.

Club Fit - Jefferson Valley Lothrop Associates added 25,000 square feet to the club fit complex. The expansion created a large 17,000 square foot aquatic center located in a translucent building with retractable roof. A "zero entry" pool allowing families to swim together, a free-form recreation pool for aquatic classes, a four lane lap pool, whirlpool, additional locker and massage rooms are included. Other features include studios for fitness, basketball courts, in-line skating, indoor soccer, floor hockey and supervised club activity area.

Bedford Bathhouse Lothrop Associates designed the 3,300 square foot bath house with a Martha's Vineyard beach house look with horizontal siding, pitched roofs and cupola. The interior is open and airy with wood timbers and exposed wood roof decking. This area contains dressing rooms, lockers, toilets and showers, offices, first aid office and lifeguard lounge. A food concession is adjacent to a shade pavilion providing space with tables.

Katonah Memorial Bathhouse The Katonah Bathhouse was a reconstruction to replace a structure destroyed by fire. Lothrop Associates redesigned the new building utilizing the existing slab and foundation. The 3,500 square foot building has exposed roof trusses, a covered shade area, dressing rooms, lockers, showers and toilets, offices, first aid and a lifeguard lounge. A separate adjacent building has a concessions area.

Katonah Memorial Bathhouse The Katonah Bathhouse reconstruction has a stone veneer over concrete block walls. The roof structure has large exposed truss timbers and tongue and groove cedar roof sheathing. Natural light and ventilation are provided through operable windows, skylights and open gable ends. Ceiling fans and pendant hung light fixtures add air movement and ambiance.

Pound Ridge Park and Community Center Lothrop Associates planned and designed a 16,000 square foot community center for the Pound Ridge Park. The community center is designed to fit into the rural character of the surrounding area and emulates a farm house and barn. The building is situated to allow views to the adjacent pool area and fields from an outdoor terrace area. The facility includes a gymnasium, meeting and multipurpose rooms, snack bar and Recreation Department offices.

Hastings Community Center James Harmon Community Center Lothrop Associates designed a 14,400 square foot community center for the Village of Hastings. The project is easily accessible downtown and includes meeting rooms, youth service's offices, multi-purpose recreation area, study rooms, the Village television studio and office space for the Department of Parks and Recreation.
